In September 2022, the United Government of Tanzania and MIGA hosted a two-day roundtable dialogue on foreign direct investment (FDI) in Eastern Africa as these countries continue to struggle from the multiple crises of the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation, debt, and the Ukraine war.
This FDI roundtable gave government officials from Tanzania, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Somalia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe a unique opportunity to conduct candid discussions with senior executives from MIGA’s client base about optimizing investment conditions to draw more foreign direct investment into Eastern Africa.
