MIGA operates from offices across Africa, in Dakar, Senegal; Nairobi, Kenya; Johannesburg, South Africa; Rabat, Morocco; and Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The offices are co-located with the World Bank (IBRD/IDA) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) to serve its clients investing in MIGA's developing member countries, with a focus primarily on supporting investors going into Africa.

The team works in close collaboration with MIGA staff based in Washington, D.C., leveraging the World Bank Group Guarantees platform housed within MIGA to enhance deeper collaboration across the World Bank Group in de-risking foreign investment, paying close attention to projects that support climate finance and boost job creation.

MIGA’s office in Paris is a business origination and partnership hub that manages relationships with Western European investors, lenders and institutional partners. 

MIGA has a long track record working with Western European companies, who accounted for more than 65% of MIGA’s total gross issuance over the last four years.

In Vienna, MIGA's team represents the World Bank Group Guarantee Platform across Eastern and Central Europe and Central Asia and develops projects that can benefit from World Bank Group guarantees, in collaboration with other development partners. MIGA also has a presence in Istanbul co-located with IFC to support investments into Türkiye and Turkish outward investments.
