MIGA issued a $29.7 million guarantee to Efes Breweries International, B.V. of the Netherlands for its investment in the construction and operation of a brewery in Moscow. The guarantee covers the investment against the risks of transfer restriction, expropriation, and war and civil disturbance.
The plant will purchase many of the inputs, such as bottles, labels, and caps, frombusinesses and will provide employment to an estimated 500 Russian nationals.
