MIGA issued $20 million in coverage to ING Bank N.V. for its shareholder loan to its local representative office in Istanbul. The guarantee provides coverage against transfer restriction and expropriation.
ING Istanbul will focus on increasing its banking activities in corporate banking, financial institution banking, treasury securities trading and sales, and capital markets. The loan will allow ING Istanbul to provide medium- and long-term financing to major local firms and multinational companies.
