Muhamet Fall
Muhamet Bamba Fall is Director for Industries of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group. In addition to overseeing global business origination, strategy development, and client coverage for Industries (infrastructure, energy, agribusiness, services, and general industry), he is also responsible for co-managing the new World Bank Group Guarantees platform.
Among his prior roles, Mr. Fall led MIGA’s Infrastructure, MAS, and Trade Finance business lines and served as Chief Underwriter and Asia-Pacific Region Head, overseeing business development, guarantee structuring, and client relationship management. In his earlier MIGA career, Mr. Fall served as Senior Underwriter on MIGA’s infrastructure sector team (water and transport) and as Investment Promotion Officer, where he worked closely with investment promotion agencies and government institutions to encourage activity in emerging markets.
Before joining MIGA, Mr. Fall was Division Head for Medium and Long Term Credit and Project Risks Underwriting with the insurance affiliate of the Islamic Development Bank Group. His background also includes work in management and development consulting.
Mr. Fall holds a master’s of international business and finance from Columbia University.
