Deepti Jerath

Deepti Jerath is the Director of Finance and Risk at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group. Ms. Jerath has overall responsibility for MIGA’s finance and accounting, risk management, reinsurance, investment management, resource management, and information technology functions.

Ms. Jerath joined MIGA in 2021 as the Head of the UK and Global Head for Institutional Investors coverage, based in London. She also led MIGA’s engagement with carbon markets during this time.

Prior to joining MIGA, Ms. Jerath spent most of her career in investment banking, including as the Head of UK Credit & Equity Solutions at JP Morgan Chase & Co. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, advising clients on risk management, investment strategy, capital optimization, and innovative financing solutions. She has also gained experience with institutional investors, having led private debt origination at Phoenix Group, the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business.

She holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a bachelor of arts with honors in economics from Delhi University.
