Teuta Kaçaniku

Teuta Kaçaniku is South Asia Regional Head for MIGA, where she leads the World Bank Group Guarantee Platform’s operations across the region. With over 18 years at the World Bank Group, she has built expertise in mobilizing private capital investments through risk mitigation and credit enhancement instruments. 

Teuta has held roles including Senior Energy Finance Specialist and Pakistan Program Leader for Infrastructure within the World Bank's South Asia team. Her strategic leadership has been instrumental in advancing energy sector reforms through comprehensive policy dialogue and deploying diverse financial instruments—including loans, guarantees, and grants—to strengthen power utility balance sheets and facilitate large-scale project financing, particularly in Fragile, Conflict, and Violence contexts.

Teuta is a Chartered Financial Analyst Chartholder and holds a master’s degree in international business from the Fletcher School of Tufts University.
