MIGA Names Sarvesh Suri as Director for Operations,

WASHINGTON, DC, June 16, 2016—The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), the political risk insurance and credit enhancement arm of the World Bank Group, announced the appointment of Sarvesh Suri as Director for Operations. The agency also announced Muhamet Fall as Associate Director for Operations and Chief Underwriter.

Suri, an Indian national, joined the World Bank Group's International Finance Corporation (IFC) in 2001 as Investment Analyst in the New Delhi office. Since then, he has held a number of operating, corporate and management positions across IFC. Most recently, he was Senior Country Manager for Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand based in IFC's Jakarta office. Suri will be responsible for leading MIGA's operations team and growing the guarantees business and the agency's development impact.

Fall, a Senegalese national, joined MIGA in 2004 as an Investment Promotion Officer. Since then, he has served as a Senior Underwriter in MIGA's infrastructure team, Regional Head of MIGA's Asia-Pacific Hub based in Singapore, and Acting Director of Operations. In his new position, Fall will work with MIGA's Operations Director to develop and execute a strong business pipeline; lead underwriting teams; and ensure high-quality structuring and delivery of guarantees.
