New Director of Guarantees Joins MIGA
WASHINGTON, DC, October 16, 2007—The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank Group, has named Edith Quintrell Director of Guarantees, effective October 15. As the head of the Guarantees Department, Quintrell will focus on continuing to develop business in the priority areas of infrastructure, post-conflict countries, frontier markets (high-risk/low-income), South-South investment, and Africa.
Prior to joining OPIC, Quintrell worked at the Pan American Development Foundation, a nongovernmental organization in Washington, DC. She holds a BA in Political Science and Latin American Studies from Princeton University, and an MA in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
